Since 1965, Quimica AMTEX has been the largest producer of Gelycel (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose) in Latin America. Quimica AMTEX operates two production plants, one in Colombia and another one in Mexico, with sales offices and representatives in almost the entire American Continent. Quimica AMTEX has an installed capacity of 24,000 metric tons per year and is among the most important producers of Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose in the world.
