Online training workshop – introduction to the seaweed derived hydrocolloids

Coming in Autumn 2024 – CyberColloids is delighted to announce the first in a series of new online training workshops that are designed to give a broad overview of the key hydrocolloids that are used in the food industry today.

If you are a food scientist, food manufacturer, purchasing officer or researcher then these workshops could be for you, whether you have limited knowledge or wish to better your understanding. We will cover how and why different hydrocolloids are used, how to work with them i.e. get the most out of them, what sets them apart or differentiates them from other food texture ingredients and provide some practical examples.

The workshops will be run live by a panel of experts from CyberColloids and are designed to be interactive. There will be plenty of time for questions and the option for offline practical work for those who are interested.

The first training course to be run in Autumn 2024 will cover the seaweed derived hydrocolloids.

There will be 4 modules that will be delivered over a course of 4 weeks: wk1 – Sources & supply chain, wk 2 – Alginate, wk3 – Agar & wk4 – Carrageenan. Dates to be confirmed. Each training module will last for around 2 hours and the cost for the whole course is €950 per person.
