Evaluating the benefit of seaweed to gut and metabolic health – seahealth project update

CyberColloids is currently participating in the SeaHealth Project with the Food Research Centre at Teagasc, Ireland and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia to look at the potential benefits of seaweed to human gut and metabolic health. A range of different Irish and Australian seaweeds are being screened for bioactives that may have a positive impact. Extracts made from seaweeds of interest will then be evaluated for their use as functional ingredients in different foods. A project update is available here –
