FULL TIME POSITION IN FOOD SCIENCE RESEARCH LABORATORY
CyberColloids Ltd is an independent, business-driven, contract research and product development group specializing in hydrocolloids and focusing on food, nutrition and industrial applications.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible person for our busy research company. The position is based in the laboratory and the person will be working with senior technical personnel on a variety of customer projects and eventually running her/his own projects.
The responsibilities will include product formulating, performance testing, process optimisation and generating data for customers in numerous food applications. The candidate would be expected to be familiar with most standard laboratory techniques and it would be an advantage to have experience in rheology and/or texture analysis. Additionally, he/she must maintain accurate records, analyse data and complete laboratory reports.
We are ideally looking for a person with a degree in Chemistry/Process Chemistry or Food Technology who has a passion for science and would enjoy working for a company with an extensive multinational clientele. We would prefer the person to have relevant laboratory experience. The successful candidate must be organised, able to follow written procedures and report findings accurately. The candidate should work well in a team but with initiative to carry out daily duties independently. Additionally, good communication skills and confidence to discuss technical data effectively with customers are essential.
Experience is desirable, but not essential.
Chemistry/Food technology or equivalent degree is necessary (MS or PhD)
Skilled in analytical and laboratory practices.
Good communication skills are a must.
Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
