CyberColloids has contributed to an important new book that is just published which brings together the latest information on the production and present and future uses of the carrageenan bearing seaweeds - Kappaphycus and Eucheuma. The book - Tropical Seaweed Farming Trends, Problems and Opportunities: focus on Kappaphycus and Eucheuma of Commerceis edited by Anicia Hurtado, Alan Critchley and Iain Neish and is published by Springer. CyberColloids’ chapter provides a market overview for the carrageenan industry but elsewhere in the book, information is presented on taxonomy, distribution, methods of cultivation, processing and also valuable industry insights into value chain creation.
